I came across your video because being a new military wife (got married 2 weeks ago) and a fresh out of college scientists (got married 1 day after my graduation) I of course had to do at least a small research! So taking on this new journey as a young wife and finishing the first step into my professional career as an international student I do feel a little anxiety about being a military wife, young, foreign, and new to everything. So thanks for these awesome tips to keep in mind as I go through this transition.
Military Wives is as formulaic as movies go, regardless the film is surprisingly good and it uses the formula really well. However it never aspires to be anything else preventing it from becoming a classic amongst the genre.
I haven't been familiar with the true story but from the start, you just know where it is all gonna go. It still works well but nothing is a surprise because of that. It still has some great moments and a fair amount of heart
It is seriously enjoyable and it is a likeable movie with a great cast. Kristen Scott Thomas and Sharon Horgan are great here.
I'm sure there are many people who will like this film. I just can't see that much greatness in it. It's formulaic and does it's best to be a lovely and charming film but it does it in such a manipulative way, and I hate it when films do that. It is still worth watching though.

This guy was a mess & was like Forest Gump but married to some dependa 👧🏻 type. The young couple had 3/4 small children in on post 🏡. The soldier was cut for failure to adapt(the military version of termination 📑. I heard from a few sources the ex MP's entire platoon, 36+ soldiers, 1 officer had to clean out, clear his on post quarters. The guys said it was the basic cable series Hoarders 🤢. Odors, pet feces from 4-5 animals, stains, mold, crud, ☣🚮😷. One guy said the unit 🛁 had a PERMANENT black ring stain of thick mold, goo, dirt. 🙄.
My sister is out in afghanistan at the moment in Lash Kagar. She's in the military police, she helps out the afghani women and children and is responsible for training the afghan national army. Im so proud of her, never could I do something like that. Sharon and Kirsten are superb. It's a moving story of friendship under pressure of military life, war and pain, with a lovely musical backing track.
